Take the HEIGHTS PRIDE Inclusion Campaign Pledge

The mission of HEIGHTS PRIDE is to foster and promote a safe and inclusive environment for all, including LGBTQIA+ families, friends, and allies and people of all races, ethnicities, and religions, by creating connections, sharing resources and celebrating our diverse community. Established by Glen’s Friends, HEIGHTS PRIDE will bring together a wide array of local businesses, organizations, and neighbors, who share these goals and are committed to making Arlington Heights, IL a welcoming place to live, learn and grow. We strive to celebrate, recognize, and empower all the diverse members of our community.

The goal of HEIGHTS PRIDE is to assist Arlington Heights, IL businesses and organizations in your efforts to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place for all. In exchange for signing the Inclusion Pledge, you will receive a complimentary window cling to be posted in a window visible to customers, clients, and employees, which will signal to the community your commitment to the fundamental human values of fairness and equality.

 The Inclusion Pledge

1. We will maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all people, including employees, visitors, customers, vendors, and clients, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion or disability. 

2. We will avoid discrimination against any individuals or denying goods or services based on any of these characteristics, and we will provide goods and services to all on the same terms. 

3. We will implement, honor and respect all pronouns.

• To be included, but not limited to HEIGHTS PRIDE via Glen’s Friends social platforms, websites, email campaigns and advertising. 

• To keep all employees, colleagues, and co-workers aware of your commitment to following the guidelines of the Inclusion Pledge. 

• To post a copy of this Inclusion Pledge in a place visible to employees, colleagues and co-workers.
